Job summary

ArchKey Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer to lead front-end project activities from our Ft. Wayne, IN or Toledo, OH offices.

You will collaborate with engineers, field crews, and customers to drive design clarity, scheduling, and cost control while maintaining stringent safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1–2 years in electrical project engineering, with proficiency in MS Office and tools like Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and Navis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent).
• 1–2 years of experience in Project Engineering in the electrical sector.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Primavera P6, Viewpoint, AutoCAD, Navis, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or ConEst.
• Understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and lean construction.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and efficiency.
• Self-starter capable of meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and perform site safety audits.
• Review shop drawings, track submittals, and build project schedules.
• Monitor installed quantities to keep projects on schedule.
• Support estimating, cost reporting, and financial accuracy.
• Generate RFIs to clarify project requirements.
• Engage with customers to strengthen relationships.
• Collaborate with field teams on design and customer needs.
• Ensure contract compliance and take on additional tasks.
