Job description

Own complex healthcare projects from concept through construction

You're an electrical engineer who wants to own the whole project, not just a slice of the design.

This role puts you at the center of healthcare projects from first conversation to final commissioning.

You'll lead the electrical discipline, coordinate in-house with other teams, and be the face of the project for your clients.

Your work will directly shape the performance, safety, and long-term value of healthcare facilities that people rely on every day.

If you've been driving electrical design on moderate to complex projects and are ready to take the lead, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Work On

You'll be the electrical lead across a mix of healthcare projects, from early planning through construction completion:

  • Healthcare facility power distribution and building systems
  • All project phases from concept through construction completion
  • Multi-discipline projects with in-house coordination
  • Moderate to complex project scopes
  • Electrical systems with a focus on life-cycle performance
  • Project schedules and deliverables for the electrical discipline
  • Client-facing technical discussions and presentations
  • Cost-conscious designs that balance first cost and long-term value

The core challenge: lead the electrical discipline while keeping clients, schedule, cost, and quality all moving in the same direction.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading electrical engineering efforts on healthcare projects from concept through construction
  • Functioning as the primary or secondary point of contact with clients on assigned projects
  • Coordinating closely with in-house disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
  • Managing and scheduling tasks for the electrical discipline across multiple projects
  • Applying knowledge of construction costs and life cycle analysis to guide design decisions
  • Providing technical direction and oversight to project team members
  • Reviewing and approving electrical design documents for technical quality
  • Representing the electrical discipline in internal and external project meetings
  • Communicating formally and informally with clients and staff to resolve issues
  • Driving project progress to meet scope, budget, and schedule commitments
  • Supporting business relationships through consistent, technically strong delivery
  • Contributing your expertise to help elevate the firm’s healthcare project portfolio
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in an architectural engineering consulting environment
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Proven engineering expertise in the electrical discipline
  • Experience managing moderate to complex projects or serving as secondary point of contact on larger efforts
  • Ability to schedule and manage tasks for the electrical discipline
  • Knowledge of construction costs and life cycle analysis
  • Demonstrated success communicating with clients and internal teams
  • Ability to confidently represent the electrical discipline in meetings
Why This Opportunity?

This is a management-level role where you don't just "do the drawings" - you lead the work, the coordination, and the client relationship for significant healthcare projects.

You'll have the advantage of in-house, multi-discipline coordination so you can move quickly, solve problems directly, and see your designs built the right way.

On top of a rewarding career and competitive salary, our client offers merit-based incentive bonus potential, 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 9 holidays, flexible schedules, and work-from-home options.

You'll be stepping into a firm that invests in career development and provides defined growth paths and training at all levels.

This is a full-time role.
