Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer

Job Description: Element Staffing is recruiting for an Electrical Project Engineer for a reputable chemical company in SE Houston. The Project Engineer will manage engineering projects by developing project scopes, cost estimates, equipment specifications, and system designs. Previous experience with instrumentation in a chemical plant is preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Organize and control project elements to complete engineering projects
• Assist in contractor selection and procurement for project implementation
• Study manufacturing methods and plan improvements to enhance processes
• Participate in annual project budget proposals
• Develop project ideas with engineering data, cost estimates, and schedules for future budgets
• Define project objectives, specifications, benefits, budgets, and feasibility
• Predict and manage resources effectively to meet objectives
• Create and oversee detailed project schedules and work plans
• Manage vendor and supplier contracts, tasks, and deliverables
• Apply industry best practices throughout project execution
• Possess knowledge of process and chemical industry equipment, operation, and installation
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and industrial controls disciplines during installations
• Estimate project costs and economics using cost estimation principles
• Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to monitor and adjust project progress
• Measure project performance for continuous improvement
• Manage projects from approval through start-up and commissioning
• Participate in safety programs and training
