Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer

Element Staffing is recruiting for an Electrical Project Engineer for a reputable chemical company in SE Houston. The Project Engineer will oversee engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements, developing project scopes, cost estimates, equipment specifications, and system designs. Previous experience with instrumentation related to a chemical plant is required. Local candidates only.

Responsibilities:

• Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, equipment specifications, and system designs.
• Assist in contractor selection and procurement to ensure successful implementation.
• Improve manufacturing processes through studying product and manufacturing methods and planning improvements.
• Participate in annual project budget proposals.
• Submit new project ideas with engineering data, cost estimates, and schedules for upcoming budgets.
• Develop project objectives, specifications, benefits analysis, budgets, and feasibility studies.
• Predict and manage resources needed to achieve project objectives efficiently.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans.
• Manage vendor and supplier contracts, tasks, and deliverables.
• Apply industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution.
• Knowledge of process and chemical industry equipment, operation, selection, and installation.
• Coordinate with other disciplines such as civil, electrical, and industrial controls, managing installations with support.
• Estimate project costs and economics using cost estimating principles.
• Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to monitor progress and make adjustments.
• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Execute projects from approval through start-up and commissioning.
• Participate actively in safety programs and training.
