Job summary

Frey Consulting Group is seeking an Electrical Assistant Project Manager for field-based work in Central Florida with regular travel to job sites. The role focuses on procurement, documentation, and day-to-day project execution alongside the PM team.

Responsibilities include coordinating contracts, drawings, RFIs, submittals, and look-ahead scheduling; tracking labor and materials; and supporting the PMs to keep projects on schedule and budget. Requires 2+ years on large electrical projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience on large electrical projects (distribution centers, cold storage facilities, etc.)
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and activities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Superior communication and organizational development skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with and manage cross-functional teams
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
• Experience with Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Sage, and Procore is a strong plus
• OSHA certification preferred
• Proactive, detail-oriented approach to work

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all contractual requirements, design drawings, and project specifications
• Review and coordinate submittals and shop drawings
• Create and track RFIs
• Ensure the project team has current drawings, RFIs, and submittal/shop drawing updates
• Track labor and material usage
• Participate in look-ahead schedule planning using Microsoft Excel
• Maintain Action Item and Open Item lists for project team review
• Maintain the Material Expediting Schedule to ensure materials arrive on-site as needed
• Perform quantity take-offs as needed
• Manage the punch-list process
• Assist Project Manager(s) as needed
