Job summary

QTS is hiring for a Development Project Manager - Design & Standards (Senior Electrical Engineer) to provide expert guidance on data center design projects. The role requires coordination with Facilities, contractors, designers, engineers, and operations staff to ensure technical excellence and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will review design packages, define scope, and collaborate across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 5+ years of electrical design or construction experience.
• Minimum 3 years in electrical design including power systems, redundancy, short circuit, coordination and arc flash.
• 2+ years applying NEC and other electrical standards across projects.

Responsibilities

• Review drawing packages for adherence to design standards.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure designs meet standards and local code requirements.
• Define project scope, deviations from standards, and communicate requirements to the design team.
• Review OFCI equipment submittals for compliance with standard design criteria.
• Support teams in resolving design issues during construction and commissioning.
