Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Design Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to lead design and development of power distribution equipment and UPS systems for data centers.

You will guide projects from concept through implementation, defining specifications and evaluating design changes to ensure high uptime. You will collaborate across internal groups and with external partners, including vendors and third‑party labs, to meet strict codes and performance goals while supporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of Electrical Product Design for Power Distribution Equipment or UPS.
5+ years of Data Center or Mission-Critical Design, Construction, or Operations.
Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.

Responsibilities

Lead product design and development from concept to implementation.
Coordinate with internal and external groups including engineering service providers, manufacturers, vendors, inspectors, and testing labs.
Contribute to international projects and travel up to 30% as needed.
