Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Sr. Product Design Engineer for the Electrical Products and Services team. You will lead the design and development of power distribution equipment and UPS for AWS data centers, driving uptime and cost effectiveness.

Role involves collaboration with mechanical, reliability, QA/QC, and field teams; defining specifications, and guiding concepts through to mass production. Expect travel up to 30% and international project exposure.

Qualifications

• 8+ Years of experience of Electrical Product Design for Power Distribution Equipment or UPS.
• Data Center or Mission-Critical Design, Construction, or Operations experience.
• Professional Engineering license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product design and development across internal teams.
• Define equipment specifications and evaluate design changes.
• Collaborate with mechanical, reliability, QA/QC and compliance teams.
• Prepare and review electrical BOMs, layouts, and wiring drawings.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing and testing.
