Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Senior Design Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to lead design and development of power distribution products for data centers.

You will define equipment specs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive concepts from concept to deployment. This role requires 8+ years in electrical infrastructure design or data center projects, and the ability to work with global suppliers, meet codes, and support testing labs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
• 8+ years of Electrical Infrastructure Design or 8+ years in Data Center/ Mission-Critical design, construction, or operations.

Responsabilités

• Support Data Center Design Engineering, Principal Engineering, and Hardware Engineering teams to design and develop innovative concepts into new products for power distribution for data center.
• Lead new product design, development and work with internal teams to understand design requirements and solicit customer input.
• Collaborate with other disciplines such as mechanical and structural engineering, reliability, QA/QC and compliance to create well thought out products.
• Work with global suppliers and manufacturers to specify appropriate electrical equipment, devices and bill of materials.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and municipal requirements and building codes across different countries.
• Prepare, Review and approval of product design and drawings including electrical bill of materials, configuration, layouts, assembly, construction and electrical wiring drawings.
• Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during manufacturing phases.
• Work with field engineering and commissioning teams to properly set up test processes and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical products.
