Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Design Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to lead the design and development of electrical power distribution equipment and UPS for our data centers. You will define specifications, evaluate design changes, test against latest codes, and collaborate with internal groups and external vendors to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions.

The role requires travel up to 30%, some international projects, and close teamwork with engineers,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ Years of experience of Electrical Product Design for Power Distribution Equipment or UPS
• 5+ years of Data Center or Mission-Critical Design, Construction, or Operations
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities
• Professional Engineer License and building code knowledge are preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical product design for power distribution equipment and UPS.
• Define equipment specifications and evaluate design changes.
• Collaborate with internal groups, external vendors, inspectors, and labs.
• Support international projects and travel as needed to ensure uptime
• Drive continuous improvements and ensure world-class uptime for customers
