Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Design Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to lead the design and development of electrical power distribution products and UPS systems for our data centers.

You will drive concepts through to mass deployment, define equipment specifications, and evaluate design changes in collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role requires hands-on product design experience, travel up to 30%, and the ability to lead projects across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 8+ years of electrical product design, power distribution equipment or UPS.
• Ability to read, interpret, and create construction drawings and submittal documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product design and development for power distribution equipment and UPS.
• Collaborate with mechanical, reliability, QA/QC and compliance teams to deliver well-thought-out products.
• Define equipment specifications and evaluate design changes across projects.
• Prepare and approve product designs, BOMs, layouts, assemblies and wiring drawings.
• Support global suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
• Set up test processes and validate installation, operation and performance of electrical products.
• Lead international projects and coordinate with internal and external teams.
