Job summary

Divergent Alliance is seeking a Procurement Lead to manage sourcing and purchasing of electrical equipment and materials from our Algonquin, Illinois office. This role focuses on supplier relationships, purchasing coordination, and delivering project materials on time and within budget.

The position requires several years in procurement or supply chain, with a background in electrical equipment or industrial products preferred.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of procurement, purchasing or supply chain experience.
• Electrical equipment, construction materials or industrial products background preferred.
• Experience with long-lead equipment and delivery coordination preferred.
• Strong negotiation, organization and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency with ERP or purchasing systems.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Source, quote and negotiate electrical equipment and materials including switchgear, transformers, breakers, cable and terminations
• Manage supplier and manufacturer relationships and negotiate pricing and terms
• Issue and manage purchase orders, expediting and delivery coordination
• Track lead times, pricing trends and market availability and report to project teams
• Coordinate with engineering on equipment specifications and technical requirements
• Support inventory planning and stocking decisions
• Coordinate freight, logistics and receiving with warehouse personnel
• Resolve supplier quality, delivery and invoicing issues; support project teams with material cost and schedule information
