STO Building Group in New York City seeks an Electrical Procurement Lead to manage procurement of electrical equipment for construction projects and coordinate with installing Trade Partners. You will drive bidding, supplier selection and assignment of materials through a strategic sourcing approach.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or 5+ years in construction procurement, plus strong analytics, negotiation and cross-functional collaboration to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction experience with estimating, product selection and procurement of equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management abilities.
• Knowledge of supply chain risk management practices.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration across organization levels.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies aligned with project goals.
• Obtain bids from compatible suppliers and understand design intent behind equipment selection.
