Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking a Manager of Procurement to oversee value stream purchasing and lead a high-performing team in Palatine, Illinois. You will optimize supplier management, drive cost savings, and ensure quality and timely delivery while maintaining compliance with company policies.

The role requires deep procurement process knowledge, 7+ years in manufacturing procurement, and strong skills in Oracle ERP, Power BI, and Excel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain or equivalent experience is required.
7+ years of purchasing or related procurement experience in manufacturing.
Subject matter expertise in requisitioning, purchasing and supplier management.
Knowledge of inventory, demand forecasting and logistics.
Familiarity with regulations and ethical sourcing practices.
Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
Ability to analyze data, generate reports and solve problems in Power BI.
Expertise with Oracle ERP software and MS Office tools.
