IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager to assist design, develop and coordinate with Preconstruction and Operations teams and support clients' electrical design needs.

The ideal candidate ensures projects turned over to Operations meet safety and performance standards and comply with industry regulations. This role requires collaboration with multiple disciplines and managing timelines across Virginia markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, MATLAB, ETAP or similar tools.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design, Preconstruction, and Operations teams.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and engineering docs.
• Analyze project requirements and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regs.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and clients.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
