Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in Virginia seeks a Preconstruction Project Manager to coordinate with design, Preconstruction and Operations teams to support electrical design needs.

You will ensure projects turned over meet safety and performance standards, with a PE license preferred but not required, and you will manage multiple projects using AutoCAD Electrical, MATLAB, ETAP and other tools. Responsibilities include collaborating with design, preconstruction and operations teams,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles and power systems.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, MATLAB, ETAP, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design, preconstruction and operations teams.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Analyze project requirements and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and clients.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
