Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in the United States seeks a Preconstruction Project Manager to assist design, develop and coordinate with Preconstruction and Operations, supporting electrical design needs for Virginia projects.

You will ensure turnover packages meet safety and performance standards and comply with industry regulations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of PM experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, MATLAB or ETAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• PE license preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles and power systems.
• 5+ years project management experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, MATLAB, ETAP, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Work with Design teams, Preconstruction teams and Operations teams.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Analyze project requirements and recommend cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients.
• Monitor system performance and implement improvements.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
