Job summary

Thor is seeking 1–3 Pre-Construction Managers / Estimators for our Dallas office. The role centers on owning pre-construction and estimating activity from early budgeting to final bid submission, working directly with project executives, engineers and design partners to shape scope, cost and constructability before construction begins.

The Role

We are working exclusively with our client to add 1-3 Pre-Construction Managers / Estimators to their Dallas office, a fully office-based team at the center of how the business wins and shapes its most complex work.

This is a genuine career opportunity for a strong estimator to move into a business where pre-construction is treated as a core strategic function, not an afterthought to the bid process.

You will:

• Own pre-construction and estimating activity across projects, from early conceptual budgeting and feasibility through to final bid submission
• Work directly alongside project executives, engineers, and design partners to shape scope, sequencing, cost, and constructability well before the shovel hits the ground
• Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, acting as a technical and commercial advisor throughout the pre-construction lifecycle
• Play a direct role in the company's continued growth into specialist, high-complexity markets including mission-critical infrastructure

About You

• A strong estimating background within electrical contracting, gained on the subcontractor side (candidates from GC backgrounds are not a fit for this role)
• Experience estimating or supporting pre-construction on projects within data centers, hospitals, semiconductor, or other advanced/mission-critical facilities is highly desirable
• A polished, confident communicator who is comfortable representing the business directly to clients and winning trust early in a project's life
• Someone who wants to be based full time in Dallas and embedded in a close, collaborative office team
