Job summary

SSOE Group in Hillsboro, OR is seeking an Electrical Engineer — Pre-Assignment responsible for maintaining the electrical pre-assignment database used for semiconductor tool hookup design. You’ll ensure POC tags, capacity data, and field availability align with construction scope and schedule.

Collaborate with equipment design, electrical owners, project engineers, A/E firms, and clients; perform regular field walks, address issues, and participate in weekly EWGs.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with electrical power distribution for industrial facilities.
• Ability to read one-lines, panel schedules, and tool specifications.
• Experience with data management and traceability of large records.
• Strong written and verbal communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the electrical pre-assignment database for tool design, including POC tags and load data.
• Evaluate POC impacts from layout changes and new supplier data; communicate effects.
• Coordinate electrical POC and capacity with construction scope and schedule; identify gaps.
• Interface daily with electrical system owners, project engineers, A/E firms, and the client.
• Perform regular field walks to verify POC availability and secure resolutions.
• Attend weekly Electrical Working Group meetings; present status and constraints.
• Propose improvements for process, data quality controls, and cross-discipline coordination.
