Job summary

SSOE Group in Hillsboro, OR, is seeking an Engineering Project Manager (Tool Install Design Lead) to drive project scope, schedules, and technical decisions across semiconductor tool installations.

You will collaborate with lead engineers, act as design liaison to client Tool Experts, and help deliver complex layouts, hookups, and process equipment while mentoring teams and advancing innovations with AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to internal teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Proficiency with engineering and drafting software tools to improve project efficiency.
• Comfort working across collaborative, cross-office environments and international sites.
• Mandarin and English proficiency is highly preferred for communications.
• Familiarity with tool installation or semiconductor fab environments is a plus.
• Experience as Design Lead or Engineering Project Manager in semiconductor/industrial settings preferred.
• Associate degree in an engineering field; bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
• CAPM or PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement detailed project plans with technical specs and quality controls.
• Coordinate with delivery teams and Project Manager to align design, schedule, and budget.
• Serve as Design Liaison to client Tool Experts and Project Managers to resolve design constraints.
• Collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines to manage scope and drive decisions.
• Identify scope and risks, track progress, and mitigate challenges across the fab.
• Support RFI responses with contractors and regulatory agencies.
