Job summary

SpaceXAI in Memphis is seeking exceptional Electrical Engineers to design, build, and optimize power infrastructure for high-density AI supercomputing facilities. This full-time, on-site role covers battery storage, high-voltage transmission, and on-site gas turbine generation, with cross-functional collaboration across electrical, mechanical, and construction teams.

You will develop diagrams, perform system studies, ensure compliance with NERC/IEEE standards, and coordinate with utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
• Experience with power systems and data centers is a plus.
• Knowledge of ERCOT/NERC standards preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer electrical systems for on-site power generation, high-voltage transmission, and large-scale battery energy storage supporting AI superclusters.
• Develop single-line diagrams, protection & control schematics, relay settings, and interconnection designs.
• Perform detailed power system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, transient stability, harmonics) using ETAP, PSS/E, or equivalent tools.
• Integrate electrical systems with generators, battery storage, transmission infrastructure, and data center loads.
• Ensure compliance with standards (NERC, ERCOT, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, UL) and support permitting and utility coordination.
• Support equipment specification, vendor selection, factory testing, site commissioning, and energization.
• Conduct failure mode analysis (FMEA), root cause investigations, and reliability modeling to achieve extreme uptime targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new facility builds, capacity expansions, and continuous improvement of power standards.
