Job summary

SpaceXAI in Memphis seeks exceptional Electrical Engineers to design, build, and optimize power infrastructure for our AI supercomputing facilities. You will focus on battery storage, high-voltage transmission, and on-site power generation, collaborating with mechanical and data-center teams on massive, reliable power solutions.

The role requires hands-on electrical design, system studies, and integration across generators, storage, and transmission to support scalable hyperscale AI workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology.
• Experience with data centers or large on-site power infrastructure.
• Knowledge of ERCOT and NERC reliability standards.
• Experience in construction, commissioning, and operations of power systems.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for on-site power generation, high-voltage transmission, and large-scale battery energy storage.
• Develop single-line diagrams, protection & control schematics, relay settings, and interconnection designs.
• Perform power system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, transient stability, harmonics) using ETAP, PSS/E, or equivalent tools.
• Integrate electrical systems with generators, battery storage, transmission infrastructure, and data center loads.
• Ensure compliance with standards (NERC, ERCOT, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, UL) and support permitting and utility coordination.
• Support equipment specification, vendor selection, factory testing, site commissioning, and energization.
• Conduct FMEA, root-cause investigations, and reliability modeling for extreme uptime targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new facility builds and capacity expansions.
