Job summary

Electric Power Systems is seeking a Field Technician II to inspect, test, and maintain high, medium, and low electrical power equipment across North America. You will work with SF6 and vacuum breakers, transformers, grounding, and instrument transformers, while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires passing a drug screen and background check, willingness to travel and work overtime, and a valid driver\'s license. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen (safety sensitive role).
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Willing to overtime and travel out of town for periods of time.
• Must have a valid driver\'s license and maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry level testing of High, Medium, and Low electrical power equipment without the need for direct assistance while still working with Sr Technicians.
• Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering personnel in order to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and determine optimum equipment functioning.
• Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests, repairs, and maintenance performed.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment and components.
