Job summary

NorthStar Energy Services, a Quanta Services, Inc. company, seeks an Electrical Work Package Planner near Andrews, TX to develop electrical work packages and monitor field progress.

You will collaborate with field supervision, project controls, engineering, procurement, and quality teams to ensure readiness and identify constraints before crews are deployed. You will help maintain quantity, productivity, and progress data while updating trackers and reports.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of combined electrical construction, field planning, work packaging, project controls, field engineering, scheduling, or related experience.
• Experience reading one-lines, schematics, plans, details, and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365; working proficiency with Bluebeam for drawing review, markup, comparison, and package documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain electrical construction work packages using IFC drawings, specifications, approved submittals, material information, and established project requirements.
• Update three-week look-aheads and other short-range planning documents.
• Perform routine field walks to verify work status, access, material availability, and installation progress.
• Collect installed quantities, percent-complete data, and production information into trackers and reports.
• Review electrical drawings and documents to support field work and identify missing or conflicting information.
• Maintain logs of material shortages, drawing holds, access restrictions, RFIs, and other items affecting work packages.
• Update trackers, logs, and progress records using established formats.
• Communicate with Foremen and project-control personnel to coordinate current and upcoming activities.
