Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Hamilton, OH seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to conceiving, designing, testing, and validating electronic and embedded systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring projects from concept to production using CAD and simulation tools.

Responsibilities include designing MCU-based PCBs, performing board- and system-level testing, and ensuring designs meet UL/CSA/FCC requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related field.
Proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic capture, PCB layout, Gerber generation and library management.
3–6 years of electronics-based product development experience.
Experience creating microcontroller-based PCB designs.
Knowledge of component selection, circuit design and analysis.
Strong documentation of design, testing and validation processes.
Experience with testing methodologies for electrical systems and regulatory compliance (UL, CSA, FCC).

Responsibilities

Participate in New Product Development (NPD) teams to deliver complex new products.
Design, develop, test, and validate MCU-based PCBs.
Test, troubleshoot, and validate at board and system levels for new and existing products.
Contribute design modifications to improve product quality and function.
