Job summary

AVL Manufacturing USA is seeking an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to bridge Engineering and Operations on the Charlotte facility floor. You will support electrical and basic mechanical assembly, interpret drawings, and help improve testing, QA, and overall production efficiency.

You will collaborate with production leads to implement ECRs, refine processes, maintain build accuracy, and support budgets and timelines while ensuring compliance with CSA/UL/NEC standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electrical engineering/technology required.
• Experience in electrical assembly/production environment preferred.
• Familiarity with CSA, UL, NEC standards is a plus.
• Experience reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings is desirable.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical (and basic mechanical) assembly by interpreting approved design models/drawings and communicating solutions to the shop floor.
• Improve overall plant assembly process efficiency, including testing and QA processes.
• Collaborate with lead hands in production to develop engineering solutions for production/design issues.
• Assist in creating and implementing engineering change requests (ECR).
• Assist in improving product quality and consistency through refinements in the assembly process.
• Work with Electrical and Mechanical teams to ensure build process accuracy and support project managers with budgets and timelines.
• Support root-cause analysis and develop corrective measures with QA for issues across the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to develop methods and tools for improving assembly processes.
