Job summary

AVL Manufacturing USA seeks an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to bridge Engineering and Operations in Charlotte, NC. The role supports electrical and basic mechanical assembly, interpreting designs for shopfloor implementation, and improving efficiency across testing, QA, and production cycles.

You will work with production leads to implement engineering changes, enhance product quality, and ensure budget and schedule integrity through root-cause analysis and tool development.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in electrical engineering/technology required.
• Experience in electrical assembly/production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.
• Familiarity with CSA, UL, NEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical (and basic mechanical) assembly by interpreting approved design models/drawings and communicating solutions to the shop floor.
• Improve overall plant assembly efficiency, including testing and QA processes.
• Collaborate with production leads to develop engineering solutions for production and design issues.
• Assist in creating and implementing engineering change requests (ECR).
• Help improve product quality and consistency through refinements in the assembly process.
• Support build process accuracy and assist Project Managers to protect budgets and timelines.
• Help root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions with QA for issues across manufacturing.
• Work with Engineering and Operations to develop methods and tools for improving assembly.
