Job summary

AVL in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to bridge Engineering and Operations, oversee FAT/EQT tests, and drive efficiency and quality in the production cycle.

The role requires a diploma or degree in electrical engineering or technology, hands-on experience in electrical assembly, proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and the ability to read manufacturing drawings; knowledge of CSA/UL/NEC is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in electrical engineering/technology.
  • Experience in electrical assembly/production environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
  • Knowledge of CSA, UL, NEC standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support electrical and basic mechanical assembly by interpreting drawings and communicating solutions to the shop floor.
  • Improve plant assembly efficiency, including testing and QA processes.
  • Collaborate with production leads to develop engineering solutions for design issues.
  • Assist in creating and implementing engineering change requests (ECR).
  • Help improve product quality and consistency through refinements in assembly.
  • Support root-cause analysis with QA to address issues across manufacturing.
  • Work with Engineering and Operations to develop methods and tools for assembly improvements.
