Job summary

AVL USA INC in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to bridge Engineering and Operations. You will help oversee FAT/EQT testing and support efficiency improvements across the production cycle.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering or technology and hands-on experience in electrical assembly, reading manufacturing drawings, and CAD tools like AutoCAD and SolidWorks. ERP familiarity is a plus and collaboration with project managers helps protect budgets and

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in electrical engineering/technology.
Experience in electrical assembly/production environment.
Knowledge of CSA, UL, NEC requirements.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks helpful).
ERP knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support electrical (and basic mechanical) assembly by interpreting approved designs and communicating solutions to shop floor.
Improve overall plant assembly efficiency including testing and QA processes.
Collaborate with lead hands to develop engineering solutions for production issues.
Assist in creating and implementing engineering change requests (ECR).
Help improve product quality and consistency through refinements in assembly.
Work with assembly teams to ensure build accuracy and protect budgets/timelines.
Support root-cause analysis with QA for issues across manufacturing.
Develop methods and tools to improve the assembly process.
