Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to drive PCBA manufacturability, set up end-to-end production tests, and partner with hardware design teams on DFM/DFT. You will lead test strategy, fixture integration, and EMS supplier management for high-reliability defense hardware.

You will bring 3+ years in PCB/assembly manufacturing, strong ECAD tooling skills, and proficiency with embedded interfaces. U.S. Person status required for export-controlled data access.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent engineering field.
• 3+ years in electrical manufacturing, PCBA hardware or hardware engineering role.
• Proficiency with ECAD tools: Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, Mentor Graphics/PADS.
• Hands-on PCBA production experience.
• Deep understanding of SMT manufacturing, DFM principles for rigid and rigid-flex boards.
• Test process & DFT knowledge (ICT bed-of-nails, boundary scan).
• Scripting proficiency in Python or Bash for automation.
• Embedded protocols: CAN, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART, JTAG.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001.
• U.S. Person status is required.

Responsibilities

• PCBA Design for Manufacturability & Assembly (DFM/DFA) with production teams.
• Define Manufacturing Test Strategy across board and sub-assembly levels (ICT, flying probe, boundary scan).
• Design for Testability (DFT) guidelines with test-point density and probe access.
• Define test sequences and integration with MES/fixtures.
• Lead test failure disposition and feedback to design and manufacturing.
• Embedded hardware bring-up and firmware automation during line bring-up.
• Define flashing, secure-key provisioning, and interface validation procedures.
• Collaborate with Embedded Software, FPGA, and Test Engineering teams.
• Enforce MIL-STD or IPC-based quality standards and conduct root-cause analyses (8D).
• Qualify EMS vendors, review SMT processes, and manage switch to production BOMs.
• Create SOPs and work instructions for electronics handling and ESD control.
