Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Marion, Ohio is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated equipment, ensuring uptime and safe operations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, document procedures, and collaborate with production and engineering to improve reliability and plant productivity. A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience and a proactive approach are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge in PLC and computer-controlled equipment; electrical/electronic systems; pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, technical diagrams, and equipment documentation.
• Experience repairing automated manufacturing equipment and conducting root-cause analysis.
• Commitment to safety and continuous learning across electrical, mechanical, automation, and safety disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot PC/PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, drives, and other industrial control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on welders, conveyors, and automated assembly equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement to strengthen uptime.
• Work with production, engineering, and leadership to resolve equipment challenges and improve performance.
• Follow safety policies and lockout/tagout practices; keep tools and spaces organized.
