Job summary

AMETEK Hamilton Precision Metals seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support preventive and daily maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and control equipment, and collaborate with operators to identify root causes of issues. You will work with blueprints and test gear to diagnose faults and maintain high precision in all tasks.

The role involves replacing defective components, calibrating equipment, and helping drive continuous improvement in setup times and quality.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a completed training program in industrial electronics.
• Experience with solid-state drives, control systems, and basic troubleshooting is preferred.
• Ability to operate a towmotor and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic control equipment including drives, relays, and PLCs.
• Use blueprints and schematics to diagnose faults with meters and scopes.
• Replace defective components using soldering irons and hand tools.
• Maintain precision and records; assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support safety programs and operator training where needed.
