Job summary

AMETEK Inc. in Whitsett, NC is seeking an Electronics Maintenance Technician to repair, maintain and test electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will apply electrical and mechanical principles to diagnose malfunctions, restore equipment to operation, and support continuous production. Strong PLC and CNC troubleshooting skills, safety awareness, and overtime flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

5+ years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields.
Computer experience/operation and PLC programming are necessary.
CNC machine troubleshooting.
Experience troubleshooting electrical devices down to the component level.
Advanced electrical knowledge in an industrial environment, including 480-volt 3 phase (preferred).
Associate Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology (preferred).
Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintain production equipment including electromechanical control mechanisms.
Plan work according to electrical and mechanical principles, codes and drawings.
Evaluate new equipment and implement improvements and cost reductions.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment.
Install, start up, and shut down equipment following safety procedures (OSHA).
Document maintenance records and assist training of staff.
Support other maintenance personnel as needed.
