Job summary

Ace Industries, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to provide on-site service for hoist and crane equipment. You will troubleshoot, install, inspect and repair systems while maintaining high professional standards and customer trust.

Role demands strong electrical skills, safety compliance, and the ability to perform preventive maintenance and urgent repairs in a dynamic field environment. Local travel and 24/7 service availability are expected.

Qualifications

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits (AC/DC) and single/three-phase systems.
  • Experience with OSHA/ANSI standards and field service safety.
  • Ability to read schematics and perform inspections on overhead cranes.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair and inspect overhead cranes and hoists, below the hook devices and other lifting devices.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
  • Support customers by interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed.

Job Summary

A field service technician will provide quality installation, inspections, maintenance and repair service for hoist and crane equipment. A field service technician will also uphold the highest level of professional integrity and ethics as required to instill customer confidence and continued success in service.

Essential Duties
  • Troubleshoot, repair and inspect overhead cranes and hoists, below the hook devices and other lifting devices.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
  • Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs for customers.
  • Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.
  • Service overhead crane systems by performing quality installations; performing OSHA/ANSI equivalent inspections; documenting and completing warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive maintenance; and responding to emergency service/breakdown calls.
  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist.
  • Builds and maintains customer confidence by maintaining good response time, informing customer of problems, and completing the job in a timely manner.
  • Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.

This job operates in a field environment. Equipment used includes hand tools; power tools; lift equipment; material handling equipment, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, gloves; safety glasses, lanyard and body harness.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Normal days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., but this is a 24/7 service position. This position regularly requires long hours (up to but not to exceed 14 hours) and weekend work.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business days, although out-of-town and overnight travel is expected.
