Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician to maintain, service and repair electrical systems across utilities and facilities. Expect work on lighting, power distribution and motors with a 6:00 am–2:30 pm Monday–Friday shift.

The role requires troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and adherence to GxP and safety policies. Training and development opportunities are provided within a large biopharma environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma with 5+ years of experience or relevant certificate with 3+ years of experience.
• Associates/technical degree with 1+ year experience.
• Experience with voltages up to 13,200 V and 480 V is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair commercial/industrial equipment.
• Maintain lighting, power distribution, and motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance and infrared scanning.
• Document work status via email, voicemail, and Maximo.
• Follow GxP and safety policies and participate in training.
• Assist in developing service plans and protocols.
