Job summary

Food Manufacturing Industry in Rice, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance, which will align successfully in the organization.

Role involves electrical troubleshooting, VFD installation/configuration, and preventive maintenance with focus on safety and quality; shift is 2nd (3 PM - 11 PM).

Qualifications

• Hands-on troubleshooting with Allen-Bradley VFDs (PowerFlex 525 or equivalent).
• Strong understanding of three-phase power, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, sensors.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout, electrical safety and industrial safety practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair on production equipment.
• Install, configure, program, and troubleshoot VFDs and drive systems for conveyors and packaging equipment.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC ladder logic, and manuals.
• Support mechanical maintenance tasks as needed (bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pneumatics).
