Job summary

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. in Chico, CA seeks a Maintenance Technician 3 or 4 - Electrical to join our Maintenance Department. The role requires seasoned expertise with PLC programs and motor control systems for installation, testing, and preventative maintenance of production and facilities equipment.

Selected candidate will perform PMs, troubleshoot instrumentation, program PLCs, lead junior techs, and support GMP/SQF compliance. Competitive hourly pay and benefits included.

Qualifications

• 5 years industrial related work experience.
• Experience with programming, PLCs, VFDs, industrial Ethernet, digital and analog controls.
• Broad knowledge of industrial electrical systems and power distribution.
• Knowledge of Confined Space Entry, NFPA 70E and Lockout procedures.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic, and manufacturer drawings.
• Ability to use PPE and operate shop tools; read prints and sheets.

Responsibilities

• Keep electrical components running, perform repairs or replacements including motors and instrumentation.
• Complete PMs and work orders; assist maintenance personnel as needed.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and verify process control loops for quality.
• Lead and train lower level technicians; write SOPs for critical functions.
• Write PLC programs and maintain control networks; install, program, test and repair systems.
• Evaluate system performance and implement upgrades for reliability and OEE.
• Conduit bending, wiring, and related electrical tasks; ensure safe operations.
• Support SQF, GMP, and safety training in line with company policies.
