Job summary

Sierra Circuits, Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA is hiring an Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform routine and emergency maintenance on facilities and equipment. You will follow a preventive maintenance schedule and coordinate parts, ensuring safe operations and minimal downtime.

The role requires 2–4 years of maintenance experience, PLC understanding, and strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. The position offers competitive hourly wages and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Strong Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems, as well as industrial equipment and machinery.
• Be able to understand PLC ladder logic
• Ability to work with Voltage from ( 5V DC to 480V AC )
• Ability to assemble and align gears, bearings, and shafts
• Ability to inspect equipment for defects
• Ability to install and maintain various pipe systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Possess basic computer skills to complete work orders and other computer work as directed
• Experience with Preventive maintenance programs ( CMMS )
• High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality
• Understanding of safety and environmental regulations
• Ability to lift and work in physically demanding conditions
• Ability to operate a forklift if needed
• Follow and adhere to Lock-out / Tag-out procedures at all times
• Cleans shop and parts area at the end of every shift

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic inspections on equipment according to Preventive Maintenance Schedule.
• Perform preventative maintenance work on equipment and machineries to prevent breakdowns and unsafe conditions.
• Respond to and complete job requisitions according to request forms.
• Use proper tools and techniques to perform tasks safely and professionally.
• Research, order, and prepare spare parts with cost-effective solutions.
• Report potential problems to the Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment daily.
• Interact professionally with managers, coworkers, and vendors.
• Be available for emergency maintenance.
• May be required to operate a forklift.
• Cleans shop and parts area at end of shift
• Other duties as assigned
