Job summary

Indiana Packers Corporation (IPC) is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for 2nd/3rd shifts in Delphi, IN. You will support production through preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical systems and motor controls, and working with 3-phase 480VAC equipment.

The role requires willingness to work 8–10 hour shifts with mandatory overtime, including weekends, and the ability to read schematics, use DMM/Megger, and lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Industrial Maintenance Degree preferred; HS Diploma with experience considered.
• Ability to wire, troubleshoot and repair 3 phase 480VAC, 24VDC, 120VAC control systems and motor circuits.
• Ability to wire low and high voltage motors.
• Proficient with DMM and Megger testing tools.
• Accurate wire sizing and correct circuit protection.
• Ability to read prints, schematics and related docs.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work in extreme hot/cold/wet/humid/odorous environments.
• Must bring personal hand tools.
• Willingness to complete Confined Space training.
• Work may involve lifting up to 75 lbs and exposure to raw meat products.
• Hazmat certification is a plus.
• Offers contingent on passing a skills test; physical and lifting tests/drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on meat processing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve facility equipment issues.
• Follow safety policies and company procedures.
• Collaborate with coworkers, supervisors and managers.
• Carry out other duties as needed.
