Job summary

Indiana Packers Corporation in Delphi, IN seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support production by minimizing downtime and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on processing equipment. 2nd and 3rd shifts with overtime and weekend work, hours vary by team.

The role requires hands-on skills in mechanics, welding, reads prints and schematics, and knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics. Competitive pay up to $36.40/hr with strong benefits and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience maintaining mechanical drives, chain drives and conveyors.
• Welding: TIG/Stick.
• Able to read prints, schematics and other documents.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical tasks including troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment.
• Schedules and performs preventative and corrective maintenance on processing equipment.
• Diagnoses, replaces or repairs parts and performs tests to resolve issues.
• Uses a variety of hand and power tools and meters in performing duties.
• Upholds safety policies and company standards and collaborates with team members.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere with coworkers, supervisors and managers.
