• Valid NC Driver’s License and CDL Class B required.

About the Role: As an Electrical Maintenance Mechanic, you will troubleshoot wiring issues, maintain lighting systems, and ensure electrical system integrity. You will also assist with weather-related challenges to keep the airport operational 24/7. The position is scheduled for 3rd shift, from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Compensation:

• Maximum based on experience
• Minimum - $23.76 (3rd shift includes additional differential)

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain and repair electrical systems up to 5000 volts
• Perform preventive maintenance on airfield lighting, emergency generators, and other electrical equipment
• Repair traffic signals, street lighting, and parking lot lighting using appropriate equipment
• Locate underground utilities and repair sewer lift stations and irrigation pumps
• Assist with snow removal and weather-related needs
• Respond to emergencies on a rotating on-call basis
• Support groundskeeping and maintenance tasks
• Participate in airport emergencies, events, and irregular operations

What You Need:

Education:

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Associate degree or Apprentice Program

Experience:

• Required: 2+ years in electrical trade
• Preferred: 4+ years in electrical trade

Licenses or Certifications:

• Required: Valid NC Driver’s License, CDL Class B (or ability to obtain within 9 months)
• Preferred: NC Registered Journeyman's Certificate
