Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience in maintenance electrical or electrical work under the supervision of a skilled trades-person.
• Completion of a two-year technical school course in electrical trades or equivalent training.
• Equivalency of experience and training through appropriate technical courses.
• Successful completion of NYS CSEA-P Applied Skilled Trades Certificate Program with specified hours.
• When operating motor vehicles, possession of a valid New York State driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Use electrical trade tools and equipment safely.
• Install conduit, panels and wire to NEC specs.
• Maintain lighting, outlets and switches.
• Collaborate with trades specialists, helpers and laborers on project work.
• Assist with installation, repair and construction tasks in electrical trades.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical systems; lead helpers/laborers as needed.
