Job summary

Albany State University is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, repair, and upgrade electrical systems across the West and East Campus facilities, including academic buildings and residence halls.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a Journeyman license or equivalent, and at least 3 years of campus electrical maintenance experience, with NEC knowledge and strong safety practices. Experience with building automation and energy management is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent and relevant electrical training.
  • Journeyman license or equivalent certification required.
  • Minimum three years of commercial/industrial campus electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair campus electrical systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on distribution, lighting, and control panels.
  • Read blueprints and electrical drawings.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls.
  • Coordinate with contractors and Facilities Management.
  • Maintain records of inspections and repairs.
