Job summary

TIC_Craft is seeking a Lead Construction Supervisor to efficiently lead daily production activities, coordinate crew, materials, and equipment, and ensure safety and adherence to project plans and standards. The role requires supervising crafts, training on safety, and maintaining high productivity.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, maintaining reports, developing weekly schedules, and delivering work on time and within budget while upholding quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge and skill to perform all essential functions of craft workers under his/her supervision.
• Have a working knowledge of scheduling, material control and unit manhour performance, estimating fundamentals and job cost management systems.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with craft workers under his/her supervision and management/supervision.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Superintendent and Project Management to organize crew, materials, and equipment to achieve productivity and quality within the budget.
• Examine and inspect work progress, equipment and sites to verify safety and ensure specifications are met.
• Maintain accurate reporting records including job quantities, productivity rates, time sheets and daily management reports.
• May assist in developing a weekly schedule and in carrying out sequence of activities for assigned crew.
• Ensure timely completion of work within estimated costs while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Ensure safety of crew and compliance with company and government safety rules.
• Develop and maintain crew attitude by conducting toolbox meetings and communicating safety concerns, work scope, plans and schedules to leadmen and crews.
• Monitor compliance with company policies.
• Continuously check crew work and adjust plan/schedule as required.
• Prioritize workload and operate within a defined budget.
