Job summary

United Uptime Services in Lubbock, TX is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to assist in installation and service of electrical components for fueling systems at depots, stores, hospitals, and universities.

You will troubleshoot, install wiring, inspect for code compliance, verify operation, and collaborate with estimators and field teams. Travel and overnight stays may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year Commercial/Industrial Journeyman Electrician experience.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Applicable and valid State License depending on location.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems or components using testing equipment to find and correct the failure.
• Install conduits, pull wire, and make final connections to circuit breakers, petroleum pumps, dispensers, POS consoles, tank monitors, and petroleum lighting.
• Inspect electrical system and components to verify compliance with safety requirements, codes, project specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
• Verify proper operation of the electrical system.
• Advise management, customers, and fellow workers when hazards are present and when electrical systems are safe to operate.
• Work with project estimator on material take-off, material cost, and labor allowances.
• Must be able to use ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, and cable testers to find problems and ensure components are working properly.
• Ability to use hand and power tools to run and protect wiring.
• Must be willing to travel and work out of town, sometimes overnight.
