Job summary

PCL Construction seeks an Electrical Journeyman for Tolleson, AZ. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures to code. You’ll read drawings, install control systems and complete safety reports as needed.

Work is in Tolleson with a 5/10 schedule: Monday–Friday, 10 hours per day. Compensation is $34.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package. Prior apprenticeship and industrial/commercial experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of electrical components and systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues.

• Outdoor work in diverse weather and construction site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install conduits, bend, cut and thread up to 4-inch diameter rigid steel.
• Install and repair electrical wiring, systems and fixtures.
• Replace conduit, wiring and circuit breakers as needed.
• Install conductors and terminate panels, motor controls and junction boxes.
• Read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings.
• Start up and commissioning experience is a plus but not required.

Job Overview: The Electrician position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and safety standards. Responsibilities may also include the installation of electrical control systems and manual labor tasks related to electrical work. Additionally, the Electrician will be required to complete necessary reports and forms related to safety and project progress.

Positions are available in Tolleson, Arizona

Compensation:$34.00 / hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday: 10 hours per day (5/10 schedule).

Job Functions:

• Installing conduits, including bending, cutting and threading up to 4-inch diameter rigid steel
• Installing and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
• Replacing conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed.
• Installing conductors, terminating (SES, panel boards, motor controls, PLC’s, instruments, and junction boxes).
• Ability to accurately read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings.
• Start up and commissioning experience is an asset but not required.
• Have a basic understanding of NFPA70E and the NEC.
• Ensuring all electrical systems comply with safety regulations and codes.

Qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of electrical components and systems.
• Problem-Solving:Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues.
• Attention to Detail:Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.
• Training:Completion of an apprenticeship program, which includes both classroom instruction and on-the-job training.
• Physical Requirements:Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditionsand challenging terrains typical of construction sites.
• Experience with industrial or commercial electrical work is a plus.
