Job summary

PCL Construction in Parker, Colorado is hiring an Electrician to install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures in compliance with NFPA70E/NEC and safety standards. The role requires reading electrical drawings and supporting control-system installations.

Responsibilities include installing conduits, panels and wiring, plus reading schematics. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 10 hours per day (5/10), with per diem for eligible travelers.

Qualifications

• Completion of an apprenticeship program with classroom and on-the-job training.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings.
• Knowledge of NFPA70E and NEC safety standards.

• Installing conduits, bending, cutting and threading up to 4-inch steel.
• Installing and repairing electrical wiring, systems and fixtures.
• Replacing conduit, wiring and circuit breakers as needed.
• Installing conductors and terminating panels, motor controls and junction boxes.
• Start up and commissioning experience is a plus.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and codes.

Job Overview: The Electrician position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and safety standards. Responsibilities may also include the installation of electrical control systems and manual labor tasks related to electrical work. Additionally, the Electrician will be required to complete necessary reports and forms related to safety and project progress.

Positions are available in Parker, Colorado

Compensation: Journeyman Electrician $36.00/hour

Licensed Journeyman Electrician - $40/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday: 10 hours per day (5/10 schedule).

Per diem: For eligible travelers, a per diem of $150 per day worked is available.Restrictions apply.

Job Functions:

• Installing conduits, including bending, cutting and threading up to 4-inch diameter rigid steel


• Installing and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.


• Replacing conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed.


• Installing conductors, terminating (SES, panel boards, motor controls, PLC's, instruments, and junction boxes).


• Ability to accurately read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings.


• Start up and commissioning experience is an asset but not required.


• Have a basic understanding of NFPA70E and the NEC.


• Ensuring all electrical systems comply with safety regulations and codes.

Qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of electrical components and systems.


• Problem-Solving:Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues.


• Attention to Detail:Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.


• Training:Completion of an apprenticeship program, which includes both classroom instruction and on-the-job training.


• Physical Requirements:Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditionsand challenging terrains typical of construction sites.


• Experience with industrial or commercial electrical work is a plus.
