Job summary

PCL Construction in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking an Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures on our field projects. You will read and interpret electrical drawings, install conduits, and ensure compliance with NFPA70E and NEC safety standards.

The role includes reporting on safety and job progress. Work is primarily in outdoor construction settings with a 4/10 schedule, 10 hours per day Monday–Thursday and 8 hours Friday.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship completion with classroom and on-the-job training.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of NFPA70E and NEC safety standards.
• Experience with outdoor construction environments and industrial/commercial electrical work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Installing conduits, including bending, cutting and threading up to 4-inch diameter rigid steel.
• Installing and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
• Replacing conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed.
• Installing conductors, terminating (SES, panel boards, motor controls, PLCs, instruments, and junction boxes).
• Reading and interpreting electrical and instrumentation drawings accurately.
• Start up and commissioning experience is an asset but not required.
• Ensuring all electrical systems comply with safety regulations and codes.

Job Overview: The Electrician position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and safety standards. Responsibilities may also include the installation of electrical control systems and manual labor tasks related to electrical work. Additionally, the Electrician will be required to complete necessary reports and forms related to safety and project progress.

Positions are available in Gilbert, Arizona

Compensation: $36.00 / hour.

Schedule: Monday–Friday: 10 hours per day (4/10schedule, Friday is 8 hours)

Job Functions:

• Experience with industrial or commercial electrical work is a plus.
