Job summary

Buro Happold in New York is seeking an Electrical Intern to join our team, contributing to innovative and sustainable engineering solutions while gaining hands-on experience alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry.

You will collaborate with engineers to develop energy-efficient buildings, prepare technical drawings with Revit, analyze load, and contribute to design calculations, while benefiting from hybrid working, global knowledge networks, and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
Coursework in electrical power systems design, control systems, and/or building systems design.
Interest in electrical engineering with emphasis on the power side of the discipline.
Familiarity with BIM modeling software, such as Revit, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Using Revit, prepare technical drawings, schedules, and reports.
Analyze load to determine system sizing, and assign circuitry for power and lighting devices.
Undertake electrical engineering building services design and calculations (using software and knowledge to verify robust calculations such as Design Master and SKM).
Embrace the latest technologies to improve performance and sustainability.
