Buro Happold is seeking a motivated Electrical Intern to join our Los Angeles team, contributing to innovative and sustainable engineering solutions and gaining hands-on experience on projects that shape communities and address climate change.

You will work with experienced engineers using BIM tools like Revit and AutoCAD, develop drawings, analyze load and system sizing, and support design calculations while enjoying hybrid work and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
• Coursework in electrical power systems design, control systems, or building systems design.
• Interest in electrical engineering with emphasis on power systems.
• Experience with alternative energy or new construction tech preferred.
• Familiarity with BIM software such as Revit or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to develop energy-efficient building designs.
• Prepare drawings, schedules, and reports using BIM tools (Revit).
• Analyze load and determine system sizing; assign circuitry for power and lighting.
• Conduct building services design calculations and verify with software (Design Master, SKM).
• Contribute to sustainable and innovative project outcomes.
